Tonight: Imagining a More Livable Niagara Falls: ‘Making Better Places’

Tonight! Making Better Places, the fourth of six weekly programs to explore solutions for the future of the City of Niagara Falls, will take place tonight (Thursday, May 23) 6 – 8 PM, at the Niagara Falls Rail Station, 825 Depot Avenue.

Lynn Richards, President and COO of the Congress for the New Urbanism, will be the featured presenter. Lynn Richards will then be joined by an expert panel including: Sara Capen, Niagara Falls National Heritage Area; Chris Hawley, Partners for a Livable WNY; Seth Piccirillo, Niagara Falls Community Development; Joe Kurtz, Grassroots Gardens of WNY; and Joy Kuebler, Joy Kuebler Landscape Architect.

The six-week series Imagining a More Livable Niagara Falls was initiated by a group of local activists joined by the City of Niagara Falls, NYS Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, and Partners for a Livable Western New York. The events are designed to focus on the built environment and livability of the City, and will address mobility, housing, placemaking, and the relationship between government and developers. Each program will include a panel discussion. Attendees will have an opportunity to present questions to the presenter and panelists at each session. The final program on June 6th will be a community conversation about the future of the City.
