A lot has changed since our last South Buffalo walk two years ago!

Meet on Saturday, November 4 in South Buffalo for a community walk of Seneca Street and surrounding neighborhoods. Everyone is welcome and there is no registration required for this event. We’ll go rain or shine.

The event starts at 8:30 am, at the St. Teresa’s Parish Center, 33 Mineral Springs Road (at Seneca Street). The walk starts at 9:30, but those arriving an hour earlier will see a slide show of best practices for streetscape improvements. For the walk, two groups will fan out in different directions along Seneca Street, return to the church, and discuss what they’ve seen. Walk participants also will get to explore several little-known neighborhood parks; these hidden gems could play a significant role in connecting and revitalizing surrounding neighborhoods. The event will conclude around noon.

Refreshments will be served both before and after the walk, hosted by the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo, with support from WNY Refresh.
